Recent reports have shown that bone marrow-derived stem cell (BMSCs) may contribute to islet regeneration. The goal of our study was to evaluate the safety and efficacy of autologous bone marrow mononuclear cell (ABMMCs) transplantation for patients with Type 1 and 2 insulin dependent diabetes mellitus.
